Haggai 1:1

About the Book of Haggai

Haggai addressed the returned exiles who had rebuilt their own houses but left God's temple in ruins. His message was direct: get your priorities right. When the people obeyed and resumed building, God promised His presence and future glory. Haggai reminds us that putting God first transforms everything else.
